I have a photo of a cake that I really like. Can you duplicate it for my wedding?
Yes! I can duplicate almost any cake that you have a picture of and customize it to your specific tastes. If it is from the internet, please forward it to me. If it is from a magazine, just bring it to our tasting consultation and we can work out the details then.

How much will my wedding cake cost?
At The Pastry Princess, we are proud to offer high quality wedding cakes while offering the best value.  Since every cake is unique and customized for your special day, prices vary depending on a number of different factors.

How many cakes have you made?
I have worked on literally hundreds of wedding cakes over the course of my career. I have done over 100 since working on my own.

Do I need to make a deposit?
A deposit of $100 is due at the time the Service Contract & Payment Terms of Agreement is signed. This will insure you that your date is reserved and assure me that you are serious about using my services.

What is you most popular cake?
I like to think of the Chocolate Mandarin as my signature cake, although the Coconut is becoming very popular. Tiramisu is always a favorite too.

What is a groom's cake & can you make one?
A groom's cake is a cake that reflects the personality of the groom and his own personal style. It can be of anything; hobbies, sports team, favorite dessert.  Usually given to a groom from a bride or future mother-in-law, it is a fun way to customize your wedding day.

Can you ship your wedding cakes?
Sorry, but shipping a wedding cake is not an option. We are proud to serve the entire Bay Area.

Can I save my top tier for my first anniversary?
This is a long held tradition and a decision that you need to make with your groom. I might suggest carrot cake as it holds well in the freezer if wrapped properly; however, any cake frozen for a year will not be as delicious as your wedding day. An option is contacting us again just before your first anniversary and we can prepare a replica of your top tier for your special occasion.

How soon before my wedding should I order my cake?
Ideally you would reserve your date one to three months before your wedding day. I can take your wedding cake order up to nine months in advance. I will be happy to accept last minute orders as well, scheduling permitting.

Are you cakes ever frozen?
Our cakes are never frozen.  They always are baked fresh with all natural ingredients, and assembled on the day of your event.

I want a petite cake, but I have a lot of guests. Is there and alternative to a huge cake?
You can have your desired wedding cake on display & have back-up sheet cakes in kitchen/back. This will insure the timely service of all guests and you will still capture the look of the wedding cake you want.

I want flowers on my cake, can you add them in?
I can do some basic flowers on your cake; petals, clusters, cascading.  If you would like them to match your bouquet or other flower decorations exactly, I can coordinate with your florist for them to provide the flowers and even arrange them on the cake at time of delivery.
